This patch translates all the dialogue up to Chapter 5. Of course, that means that none of the menus have been so much as touched, which makes playing this game incredibly difficult. I have enough trouble with strategy RPGs as it is! Be sure and use a ROM with no header before patching it. Magic Destiny will be continuing with the work that Taichou and company have done here.
Sadly, this project has died due to there being no one to translate. This patch translates very, very little and is not worth the effort of downloading it and patching your ROM with it. Unless you’re desperate I guess.
This will only work on a ROM that is Version 1.1.
Again, no menus are done (though you can check the website for some screenshots), but the dialogue is translated, very well I might add, up to Chapter 3. This is an excellent-looking translation, which seems to be going places. So hurray! Party!
A mostly complete patch for Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem.
Notes
- There are two patches in this archive for version 1.0 and 1.1 of the game.
- This patch only works with headered ROMs.
- Certain versions of ZSNES have issues with Mystery of the Emblem in general or this patch in particular. Please see the README.

An updated version of the RPGuy translation that updates names to their official European names as of the official Shadow Dragon release.
For characters whose only official names are from the Fire Emblem Heroes poll, the names from the remake’s translation are given instead. A VWF has been added and the entire script has been updated to take advantage of it.
Many other issues with the RPGuy translation have also been fixed, such as missing text being inserted and a freeze during the best ending being repaired.
Patches for both 1.0 and 1.1 included. Header is required.
This is an update to Quirino’s Updated Mystery of the Emblem Fan Translation patch. This release was mostly focused on fixing some errors in the original patch, and as such there are no major script alterations/name changes. A detailed list of changes can be found in the readme.
